Midweek Mingle & Learn Series Continues in April
The Mercer Senior Center’s Midweek Mingle & Learn series kicks off in April with an informative presentation by Barry Wolfgram, Senior Project Manager, and Tena Springer, Chief Clinical Officer, from Family Health Center.
Caring for Our Community: Family Health Center Expands to Mercer, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, will introduce the organization’s mission, services, and plans for growth in Mercer. Attendees will learn about Family Health Center’s history, locations, and key healthcare services, including dental care, alcohol and drug recovery, and primary care. The presentation will also highlight ongoing renovations at the Mercer Primary Care Center to enhance future healthcare offerings for the community.
Each week, Midweek Mingle & Learn invites adults of all ages to join us for presentations designed to inform and inspire. Sessions run from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Mercer Senior located at 2518 Martha Lake Road.
Guests are welcome to stay for lunch provided by the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the North. Lunch reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 715-561-2108 ext. 1.

• April 9 – Memory Cafe
The Aging and Disability Resource Center of the North returns with its Memory Café. These structured social gatherings provide a welcoming space for individuals with memory concerns and those looking to strengthen their memory skills. The activities and games are fun and foster cooperation, and the ADRC representatives always bring fabulous prizes for everyone!
• April 16 – Pickleball 101
Ever wondered what’s happening on the courts at Carow Park each summer? It’s Pickleball—an exciting, social sport for all ages and skill levels. Join Kathy Stork and Patti Krauss from the Mercer Pickleball group as they introduce the basics of the game. Learn the rules, key terminology, and the pros and cons of this popular sport. Whether you’re a beginner or just curious, this session will get you up to speed on the world of Pickleball.
• April 23 – Bloom & Frost: Spring Cookie Decorating
Join Tina Werderman for a fun, hands-on cookie decorating class. Learn the basics of icing techniques as you decorate five beautifully designed spring flower cookies step by step. All supplies are provided, along with instructions and recipes so you can continue the creativity at home. Registration is limited! • April 30 – Soak & Soothe: Bath Salt Creations Workshop
Treat yourself to a relaxing and creative experience with Kaitlin Thorpe of The Sunflower Project. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the benefits of bath salts while blending your own soothing concoction. Registration is limited!
